After I made some music for a good friends iPhone game, I’ve been contacted again by someone who heard of that, and the music I made. This time it is also for a kid’s game on the iOS platform.
Since I enjoy doing this so much I’ve accepted, even though it is a little bit out of the genres I normally dabble in. However, I hope I can either pull this off within the boundaries of what usually constitutes ‘children’s game music’, or perhaps bring a little bit of electronica-joy to the kids.
I realized from the last time I did this that making music for iOS games is an interesting process. You have to be very mindful about the EQ-ing and Mixing since the sounds will most often be played back on the internal speaker (especially with games for kids). I’m sure there are book written on the subject…
Anyways, it’s always great inspiration and motivation to know that the music is but to use, and perhaps some kids will enjoy listening to it :)
I’ll keep you posted on the results.
